Michael Burgmaier is a Managing Director Advisor with Silverwood Partners focused on the consumer sector.  In addition to his position at Silverwood, Mr. Burgmaier is a Principal at Royal River Associates, a consulting firm that specializes in growth strategy, business planning and financings for companies in the Healthy Living sector.  Mr. Burgmaier is also a Principal at CEI Community Ventures Inc., a fully-invested venture capital firm, where he focuses on natural, organic and premium consumer products, and web 2.0/new media.  Previously, Mr. Burgmaier was a Consultant and Case Team Leader with Bain & Company, where he worked across several industries, including consumer products, biotechnology, durable goods and health care.  Mr. Burgmaier's prior experience also includes positions as Acting Director and Senior Policy Associate at Children Now and Fiscal Policy Analyst in the Executive Office for Administration and Finance under former Massachusetts' governor William Weld.

Mr. Burgmaier is currently the Chair of The Natural Pasta Co. dba Putney Pasta and has served on the boards for The Rustic Crust, Be Products Co. (Be Fine Food Skin Care) and Look's Gourmet Food Co. (Bar Harbor Foods). Mr. Burgmaier is also a member of the Social Venture Network (SVN) and was named as one of the "40 Under 40" leaders in the Natural Products Industry by Natural Foods Merchandiser in 2008.

Mr. Burgmaier has an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth as well as Master of Public Policy from Duke University and a BA in Economics from Boston College.
