Mr. Trucano has over thirty years of experience in venture capital and investment banking. Mr. Trucano spent the last twenty years focusing on the food industry. After working for two traditional venture capital firms in The Twin Cities, Mr. Trucano was one of the founders of The Food Fund in 1990, a private equity firm focused on food products and related companies. A second fund was raised in 1995 and during the combined ten year investment period, Mr. Trucano was involved in twenty-two acquisitions or financings in the food industry and was a member of the Board of Directors of eighteen companies. Since 2000, he has been the President of Acorn Financial Corporation, which is an investment banking firm focused on the food industry. Mr. Trucano holds a B.A. from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota and an MBA in finance from the University of Minnesota.
